"There's no GPS leading you to your destination in life, there's no person on the side of the road telling you which direction to turn, there's no signs helping you decipher the correct way to go; the only way of finding your real destination is to continue on the road, following your heart. So maybe you might make a wrong turn, maybe you will hit some pot-holes, you might even breakdown along the way, but when you reach your destination you will feel that sense of completion knowing you made it, knowing you are where you want and should be in life."
This was an original quote that I created about life, which I feel could be applied to education and the three components that make up my life (past, present, and future). I don't think education is cut and dry, I don't think it is something that can be described one way over another, I believe it is a concept that is everchanging and to every person it may change depending on the experiences that person had. We all have different pasts, presents, and futures. We are all unique in our own ways. We each have different family lives, culture, morals and values that were instilled in us. No two people are the exact same people, even if you have common interests,or experienced similar things in life, we all react to situations differently. It is these differences that help the world go around. If every single person was the exact same person, our world we live in would not be as productive as it is. If you think about it, if we all had the same ideas, we may not have been able to come up with all these different inventions, or new technologies. Our lives would also not be able to improve or change to be a better world. If you think back to the times when blacks were judged and not given equal opportunities, if we did not have people like Martin Luther King Jr. who went against the normal opinion on black people, and stood up for what he felt was right, they may not have gotten the same chances that they are given today.
What I am trying to say through this quote is how life can be complicated, education can be complicated, but in the end, if you believe in yourself and are willing to go that extra mile, you can achieve anything. And when its all said and done, life can be what you want to make of it, just like Education is what you make from it. I believe each and every one of us were created for a purpose, the goal in life is to find our purpose.
